A UConn Biomedical Engineering faculty member is seeking an undergraduate or masters’ student with an engineering and business background to assist in market research and customer discovery for a novel drug delivery platform. The student will be trained to carry out the market research and customer discovery as part of the Accelerate UConn technology development program (https://accelerate.uconn.edu/ ).
Participating in the Accelerate UConn program is a valuable learning experience for anyone interested in technology innovation & entrepreneurship. Specific to this position, familiarity in business or drug delivery systems is a plus, but is not absolutely necessary. However, an outgoing nature, excellent verbal communication skills, engagement, and energy are required. The opportunity begins March 4 and runs until April 9 and requires participation in the following 6 virtual training sessions: March 4 from 1-6 pm; March 5 from 9 am-1pm; March 11, March 25, and April 1 from 3-6 pm; and April 9 from 9 am -1pm. The technology market research will be carried out by the student on their own schedule outside of these mandatory training sessions.
The position is fully virtual, and the student will receive a stipend of $1,000. Continued involvement in the project after April 9 is a possibility.
