TIP Innovation Fellows Program – Summer Internship Opportunities

Summer Internship Opportunities:   The TIP Innovation Fellows Program offers mentored summer research experiences for Business and STEM students with on-campus technology start-up companies.  Be part of  ew technology innovations being developed right here at UConn!

  • ​​Undergraduates, Master’s students & Dec 2020 / May 2021 alumni may apply
  • Paid, 10-weeks long, $4,000 stipend for undergrads; $5,000 masters
  • Host TIP companies are located on-campus in UConn’s technology incubators in Farmington, Storrs and Stamford
  • Onsite and Virtual fellowships available
  • Workshops & seminars with in-Residence Entrepreneurs
  • Networking and presentation opportunities​
  • Research can progress to Independent Study, Capstone or Honors Projects

Boston University Conference on Entrepreneurship Skill Building

IDEA Conference

On Saturday, February 27, 2021, Innovate@BU’s annual IDEA Conference is coming to you virtually with everything students need to create impact through tech, social impact, the arts, and more!

Be inspired by world-class innovators, engage with strategies and useful tools for developing new ideas, and connect with resources and people from Boston and beyond. Featuring keynote speaker Malia Lazu, founder of The Urban Labs, a Boston-based agency that helps corporations increase effectiveness in their diversity and inclusion efforts.

This conference is for all college students and recent graduates no matter their major or career goals! Entrepreneurship and innovation skills are vital for creating impact in any career and in our communities. IDEA Conference is appropriate for any student, whether they are:

    Learn about the Stamford Startup Studio, a cooperative education experience!

    Join the Werth Institute on February 1, 2021 at 5pm to learn about Stamford Startup Studio, a cooperative education experience.

    The Startup Studio will employ eight UConn students full- time, for the 2021-2022 academic year, to create technology products for the real estate and construction industry. Throughout the cooperative educational experience, students will network with venture capitalists, venture builders, and senior business leaders to ensure the relevance of the innovations.

    Special attention will be payed to skill development around products utilizing emerging technologies, such as machine learning, 5g ready applications, and virtual and augmented reality.
